Cashleigh...
Our Why

The Cashleigh Foundation was created in memory of our beloved "Cashy Bear," one of the 49,449 people who tragically died by suicide in 2022. Since then, we’ve discovered many mental health resources we wish we had known about—covering grief, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and more. In hopes of helping others before they reach a mental health crisis, we connect people and their loved ones with these organizations through an easy-to-navigate resource page that we continually update.

Bridging the Gap to Existing Mental Health Resources

Since losing Cashleigh, we’ve realized just how many excellent mental health resources already exist—resources we wish we had known about when she was with us. Her story underscores a heartbreaking reality: timely access to support can save lives by preventing a crisis before it escalates.

We firmly believe that prevention is better than a cure. By connecting individuals with telehealth providers and other established mental health services, we empower them to address concerns early and access ongoing support.

Through social media outreach and digital platforms, The Cashleigh Foundation makes it easier for anyone struggling with mental health to discover these services without barriers like cost, transportation, or insurance. Our focus is on connecting, informing, and amplifying existing resources so support is available when it matters most.

Mission + Vision

The Cashleigh Foundation is grounded in principles of equity and compassion. We work to proactively address mental health challenges by connecting people struggling with their mental health to existing resources—such as free talk therapy and support groups—helping reduce the risk of crises.

In addition, we advocate for erasing the stigma surrounding mental health and correcting misconceptions about suicide. Our vision is to empower individuals to build emotional resilience and access the tools and support they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and purpose.
