Empowering Youth, Preventing Suicide
The Cashleigh Foundation was established in memory of our beloved "Cashy Bear," who tragically died by suicide in 2022.
Our mission is to provide free telehealth talk therapy to young people across the United States, aiming to support them before they reach a mental health crisis to help prevent youth suicide.
Youth Suicides
Outnumber Cancer Deaths by Over Tenfold
In 2022, an estimated 550 adolescents lost their lives to cancer, a sobering statistic that highlights the impact of this devastating disease on young lives .
However, a more alarming figure emerges when we turn our attention to youth suicide. According to the CDC's provisional death data for the same year, 6,529 individuals aged 10-24 died by suicide.
While this number represents a decline of 8.4% from the previous year, when 7,126 youths died by suicide, it remains a critical issue that demands our attention and action. The decrease is a positive sign, but the numbers still reflect a tragic loss of young lives and the urgent need for continued efforts in suicide prevention and mental health support for our youth.
By understanding and addressing the factors contributing to these high rates of youth suicide, we can work together to create a safer, more supportive environment for our adolescents and young adults.

The Cashleigh Foundation is dedicated to promoting equity and compassion. Our mission is to provide youth in the United States with free telehealth talk therapy by connecting them with our partnered therapists. We aim to proactively address mental health challenges and prevent crises among young people. We will fund our mission through corporate sponsorships, grants, and grassroots donations.

Talk Therapy Reduces the Risk of Suicide
Your support can make a profound impact on our ability to carry out this essential work, transforming lives and fostering hope for the future.
The Power of Talk Therapy
Research shows that talk therapy significantly reduces the risk of suicide. A study by Johns Hopkins University found that individuals who underwent talk therapy had a substantially lower risk of suicide compared to those who did not receive such treatment. This is why our mission to provide youth with free telehealth talk therapy is crucial in the prevention of suicide.
Breaking Down Barriers
We understand that stigma, embarrassment, and logistical challenges often deter young people from seeking help. By offering a discreet platform accessible via phones and laptops, we remove these barriers and ensure that support is available to all. Since our telehealth model does not require insurance information, transportation, or financial resources, it ensures that no youth is left untreated due to logistical obstacles.
Early Intervention and Ongoing Support
At The Cashleigh Foundation, we firmly believe that prevention is better than a cure. By connecting young people with providers without the expectation of payment, we empower them to address their mental health concerns before they escalate into crises. According to the BBC, early and continuous mental health support can lead to better long-term outcomes for individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Creating a Supportive Environment
Our initiative strives to create a supportive environment where youth feel heard, understood, and equipped to navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope. By supporting The Cashleigh Foundation, you are helping to build a future where young people can thrive, free from the shadows of untreated mental health issues.
Your contribution can make a real difference. Join us in our mission to provide vital mental health support to young people across the United States. Together, we can save lives and foster a brighter, healthier future for our youth.
